LEONARDO in Gran Canaria: EUROCAST 2024 and the Smart Green Island Makeathon
As part of LEONARDO’s international & collaborative nature, the project was represented in the 19th EUROCAST conference, as well as the Smart Green Island Makeathon – both held at the end of February in Gran Canaria.
Professor Thomas Schlechter (University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria) presented the abstract called “Development and Case Study of an Industry 5.0 Ready Human-Centric Related Brewing Plant” at the EUROCAST 2024 conference to an interested scientific audience. The abstract addresses the challenges and opportunities of the Industry 5.0 concepts and thoroughly connects them to the aims and execution of the LEONARDO project.
However, this was not the only LEONARDO activity taking place in Gran Canaria during that time: Engaged students from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria created a first test balloon relating to the project at the Smart Green Island Makeathon (organised by ITQ GmbH ) which was ultimately presented to an audience of 500+ international students.
